How We Calculate This
EV range isn't a single static number. It varies wildly based on how and where you drive. Our calculator applies real-world deductions to the official ARAI figures based on extensive data:
- City Driving: Highly efficient due to lower speeds and constant regenerative braking. Typically yields about 70-75% of the ARAI claim.
- Highway Driving: Sustained high speeds drain the battery significantly faster. You can expect about 55-60% of the ARAI claim at 100km/h.
- Climate Control: Running the AC or heater draws continuous power from the main battery pack, reducing range by ~10%.
- Extreme Weather: Lithium-ion batteries are temperature sensitive. Freezing winters or scorching summers can temporarily reduce efficiency by up to 15%.
